Terms and Conditions

Hire Period

Our hire period is for 1-4 days. Quotation on request for longer periods of hire. Amendments to orders can be made up to one week before collection or delivery.

Delivery and collection

Delivery and collection is free for all orders within a 5 mile radius of Floral Vintage Crockery, mileage is charged thereafter at £0.40 per mile. Alternatively the hirer can collect and return their order. All items should be packed safely and ready for collection at the time, date and venue agreed. When ordering please advise the date and time of your on-site contact information.

Condition of Goods

All goods should be checked by the hirer on receipt and signed by the hirer. No discrepancies or faults will be accepted unless notified within 24 hours of delivery. The hirer is responsible for the safe keeping of all goods and packaging on hire from the time they are delivered or collected, until all goods are collected or returned. In view that the china is more fragile than commercial-use crockery please ensure you take care when handling. We ask hirers not to wash or clean any of the items after use; cleaning costs are incorporated into the hire fees. Goods supplied at all times remain the property of Floral Vintage Crockery.

Please make sure that any linen is dry before being packed away, as linen left damp is susceptable to mildew. Irretrievable damage will be charged at full replacement cost.

Payment

A deposit of 50% of the total fee is due on confirmation of booking, payable by cheque, bank transfer or cash to Floral Vintage Crockery.

The balance is payable no later than 14 days prior to the date of hire. During the hire period breakages or loss of hired items is the full responsibility of the hirer until received back and checked by Floral Vintage Crockery. Hirer will be notified within 48 hours noted loss or damage and corresponding charges.

Replacement charges

£4.00 per china item (excluding cake stands and teapots)
£35.00 per teapot
£30.00 per cake stand
£6.00 per sugar tongs
£1.50 per item of cutlery
£4.00 per napkin
£25.00 per basket
£25.00 per tablecloth
£15.00 per 3.50 metre length of bunting if permanently stained or damaged.

In the unlikely event of loss or damage, returned damaged items would incur a cost of 50% less than lost items.

Cancellation

If the hirer cancels the booking the following charges will be as follows:

Disclaimer

Goods are hired under the hirers responsibility, therefore Floral Vintage Crockery accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage or injury caused by the items hired, however caused.
